Philippe’s claims to be the originator of the French dip sandwich – but so does Cole’s. Philippe’s is a very different “vibe”. This is a vintage style restaurant that is nestled on the corner across from Union Station. It is an experience! Wooden benches and tables with saw dust on the floor, a large clear counter prominently displaying pickled eggs, potato salads, tapioca pudding and an assortment of pies.
Their sandwiches are to die for…and the experience is well worth a visit!
